I gave my heart to Jesus

Just a child, I guess.......

.At an old-fashioned altar

My sins I did confess.

I've not always lived right

But to Jesus I belong. 

Friend, eternity is

Too long to be wrong.

I'd rather be right.

I can sleep peacefully

On my pillow at night.

And some day, in Heaven,

 I'll sing that new song 

For eternity is 

Too long to be wrong.

 

If Jesus is calling you,

Don't turn Him away.

Satan will tell you

Tomorrow's the day.

He won' t be in Heaven.

He won't sing that song.

And eternity is

Too long to be wrong!
