When Jesus came knocking

Upon my heart's door--------

I thought I could say "NO,"

Like so many times before.

Then He showed me a vision

Of His death on Calvary on Calvary____

Oh! The pain He must have suffered,

Dying there for you and me!

Praise be to the Lamb

That was crucified-----------

Because He shed His blood,

Thank God, I'm justified!

When He looks down from His throne

God can't see our sins--------

They've all been washed away.

If we've been born again.

No, it's not complicated,

It's simple, you see-------

Jesus is God's only Son,

And He died at Calvary.

And the word "justified" means

"Just as though we've never sinned."

For the blood of Calvary's Lamb,

Cleanses from within!

I'm watching and waiting

For that trumpet blast-------

When God calls for His children

To come home at last.

When those pearly gates swing open,

And I step inside-----------

My soul will be with Jesus,

And I'll be saiisfied.
