The Judgement
Judy Caughron Byers

"Silence in the court room," His voice was heard to say.

"Unto all the nations, time was given, now it is Judgement Day."

The dead in Christ have risen.  Those remaining caught away.

Every knee shall bow, every tongue confess, they had their chance, before today.

Angels are singing in the background,  "Holy, Holy to the Lamb that was slain."

Every tear was wiped away, and there was no more pain.

He called us forth, one by one.  He knew us by our names.

The Book Of Life was opened.  Things will never be the same.

Some were given a new white robe, that only saints can wear.

"Enter in, my faithful servant. You may my Glory share."

Others in line were asking, "Lord, have we not prophesied?"

God carefully looked into the book, and asked them to step aside.

And then, it was MY turn,  to stand before the King of Kings....

Every sin and each discretion, ran through my mind---EVERYTHING.

Beside me, I sensed a presence, it was a presence that I knew.

"Fear not, my precious child, for I will take care of you."

Thank You, God that I accepted,  Jesus as Savior years ago.

Though I often failed Him,  He NEVER failed me, I know.

A robe was placed around me, I was given a beautiful crown.

When I saw the face of Jesus, I knelt and laid it down.

"Jesus, you alone are worthy of my unending praise...

Please accept my crown as thanks for a debt I can't repay."

He led me through the golden streets, to a mansion built for me.

A glorified body, a mansion fair, throughout all eternity!
