People say, "Let's go back to the basics", Back to the things of yesterday! I agree...Let's go back to the basics, And walk the straight and narrow way! Yes, we need His strength and assurance As upon this sinful road we trod, Let's go back to the basics of yesterday, After all, What could be more BASIC than God?

What has happened to the "Land of the Free"? What has become of the "Home of the Brave"? Most people have forgotten about Jesus, How His life on that cross freely gave. God created this world by words that He said. He just spoke, and it came to pass. I can never repay all He has done for me. But, in Heaven, I can thank Him at last!

Our forefathers fought for our freedoms. God was the center of their plan. But, today, people say "I" did it They completely forget the Son Of Man. Let's go back to "Love thy neighbor," Let's live by God's Golden Rule... Let's ask God to heal our nation, And to put prayer back in our schools!

"Basics" meant working hard for your living. For God's law said "Thou shalt not steal." It meant laying your head down at night And sleeping without the use of a pill. "Basics" meant loving and trusting God. To supply each and every need. "Thou shalt have no other Gods before Me." Let's go back to the basics indeed!
