Jesus is the reason
The sun shines in the sky.
There are no tears in my eyes.
The fountains don't run dry!
Yes, He's the reason why!
No more sin and strife.
We have eternal life.
The stone was rolled away.
We live beyond the grave!
I'm alive today.
My sins are washed away!
I can stand and say
"I'll go live in Heaven
Some sweet day!"
I can sing and smile.
I am Jesus' reason
For walking Calvary's mile!
I'm sure the cross was heavy,
Because it bore my sin,
But He carried it gladly
The victory to win!
