He's a friend when I have no other.
I can go to Him in prayer.
He always has time to listen,
And my burdens He will share!
He's my guide when the way is rocky.
His light helps me see the way.
His strong hand is ever beside me.
He guides me gently day by day.
I know this friend will never leave me.
He's ever standing by my side.
And I know that He will be there
When I cross death's chilling tide!
He knows my every thought before I think it.
He knows everything I do.
Jesus alone can make me happy.
